DIY Easter Garland

Easy peasy DIY Easter garland using mostly dollar tree products. See steps below.

First get some foam eggs and bunnies from the Dollar Tree. You will also need paint in whatever colors you want.

Next paint the foam eggs/bunnies and let them dry completely. Sticking a toothpick in the bottoms of the eggs makes it easier to paint them and let them stand up to dry. I choose to leave the bunnies white but I did give them a quick spray paint with a flat white.

Then you will need a large needle with a big eye and some twine.

Figure out what you want your pattern to be and have it laid out. Then start threading the needle through the foam pieces.

Try to thread the needle through as straight as possible. I also used a pair of pliers to help pull the needle through. The foam eggs were more dense than I thought they would be.

After you have all the pieces strung it’s time to bring it to the mantle or staircase and start spacing the items to your desired length.

The bunnies do have a tendency to turn on their sides or upside down. It takes some messing with to make them stay up straight.

Overall this was an inexpensive, easy, and adorable addition to my Easter fireplace decor!
